Welcome to the Autumn 22 Newsletter.
We commemorate the death of Queen Elizabeth II on this solemn day. It is very sad indeed. We also welcome King Charles III and wish a glorious reign.
Football Sessions
Our children’s football sessions will resume on Wednesday 21st. If you are interested, please let us know. If your child is attending, please ensure that they are dressed appropriately, having their trainers and warm clothing. If the weather is not suitable, the session will be cancelled and the payment transferred to the next session. Henceforth, payment will be charged monthly. It costs £3.50 per session. We are in the process of organising an indoor venue for rainy days. The children really enjoy the sessions.
Music and Movement Sessions
For the babies and toddlers, the ‘music and movement’ session will also resume on Wednesday 21st. Videos and pictures will be uploaded on Tapestry.
School Application
Primary School applications are now open for children born between 1 September 2018 and 31 August 2019. Click this link for ‘Starting Primary 2023’ brochure for more information.
Invoicing & Lunch Payments
Invoices will now be sent weekly to parents who pay weekly and monthly to those who may monthly. If your child is funded, please ensure that lunch payment is made on the child’s last day of weekly attendance. We do not want to refuse any child food please.
Home Learning Bags
We have noticed that some parents forget to return the home learning bags, hence making it difficult for us to send any activities home. Please return the bags if you have them. Home learning will resume this week.

Things we have lined up
End of September 2022: Harvest Collection
We will organise a Harvest Day collection. The list of things needed will be uploaded onto Tapestry. The collection will be dropped at Spires – a charity that supports the homeless. We will also use this opportunity to speak to our children about helping and caring for others in the community using age appropriate resources.
Monday, 26 to Friday 30 September 2022: European Week of Languages
Parents from Europe will be invited to share with us the European culture and language through storytelling, book reading, games or sing-a-longs. Parents may even decide to bring a cultural snack for the children to try. Parents can also teach us how to make a delicacy. Ms Steph will approach parents to organise the dates.
Saturday, 15 October: Parent’s coffee morning
This will give parents, especially the new ones, an opportunity to meet their child’s key worker and also to meet other parents.
Thursday, 10 November: World Science day
Parents are welcome to join us in their children’s group in creating a fascinating science experiment
Monday, 12 December 2022: Parents’ Christmas Carol
To join in with the festive season, we will be holding a Christmas Carol in front of the nursery led by parents. If you have a favourite Christmas Carol, please feel free to send them to us.
New member of Staff
Ms Leanne Fry will be joining our team on the 26th of September. She will introduce herself when she meets you. Please help make her feel welcome.
